Services
Contented Canine Massage utilizes both maintenance and rehabilitative Swedish massage techniques as well Kinaesthetics™,
a specialized body care system developed to identify and relieve areas of pain and restricted movement.
Lisa Madison, CCM’s owner
and chief practitioner, offers in-home massage visits for your dog. Most clients are more relaxed and at ease in their home setting
and consequently more receptive to massage. Lisa also offers massage services at some select facilities around the
With
every massage, you will receive a document called a SOAP (Subjective Objective Assessment Plan) chart for your records which summarizes
the care provided during the session, evaluates your dog’s response and condition, and identifies any particular areas of interest
or concern.
Please note that we take special care not to expose your dog or home to any potentially harmful bacteria, fungus,
or viruses. Before entering your home for a session, Lisa treats her shoes with an environmentally friendly commercial germ control
disinfectant, and she always provides a fresh, clean massage mat for your dog’s comfort.
Basic Massage
During an approximately
30 minute basic massage session (larger breeds may require more time—although pricing remains the same), your dog will receive gentle,
therapeutic manipulation of the tissues and the body geared toward improving circulation, reducing pain and muscle tension, and increasing
flexibility and range of motion.
An initial introductory visit lasts approximately 45 minutes, and includes, prior to the massage,
an intake of your dog’s medical history, evaluation of any breed specific or performance-related concerns, and a gait analysis, the
goal of which is to assess your pet’s overall quality of movement and identify any potential movement issues.
Introductory Basic
Session: $40.00 (40-45 minutes)

Advanced Massage
Our advanced massage sessions last approximately
1 hour and incorporate more of the Kinaesthetics system of touch for a more intensive recuperative experience. The slow, rhythmic
nature of Kinaesthetics hand movements means a comprehensive session requires more time. Although virtually any dogs can experience
significant benefits from an Advanced Session, the Kinaesthetics approach can prove particularly valuable for dogs experiencing behavioral
issues related to discomfort or restricted movement.

Includes massage, an initial consultation, review of medical history,
and gait analysis.
